How to Play Word Scramble

Word Scramble is a game where you rearrange letters to form the correct word. The game features six levels with increasing difficulty:

  • Level 1: 3-letter words (e.g., "cat", "dog", "sun")
  • Level 2: 4-letter words (e.g., "bird", "fish", "moon")
  • Level 3: 5-letter words (e.g., "apple", "table", "water")
  • Level 4: 6-letter words (e.g., "garden", "pencil", "window")
  • Level 5: 7-letter words (e.g., "bicycle", "captain", "diamond")
  • Level 6: 8-letter words (e.g., "adventure", "beautiful", "chocolate")

You have multiple ways to input your answer:

  • Drag and Drop: On desktop, click and drag letters to the input area
  • Touch Drag: On mobile devices, touch and drag letters
  • Keyboard: Type your answer directly using the keyboard

Each correct answer earns you points based on:

  • Word length (longer words = more points)
  • Time remaining (faster solves = more points)
  • Level difficulty (higher levels = multiplier bonus)

Button Guide

Hint Button - Reveals one correct letter in the word. You start with 3 hints per game. Use them strategically on longer words!
Shuffle Button - Rearranges the scrambled letters. Sometimes a different arrangement can help you see the word more clearly.
Reset Button - Clears your current input and resets the letters to their original scrambled positions.
Next Word Button - Skips the current word and moves to the next one. Use this if you're stuck, but note that you won't earn points for skipped words.
Speak Word Button - Uses text-to-speech to pronounce the correct word (requires browser support). Helpful for accessibility and learning.
